CSBMG Partners for Progress: 2024 RCORP Initiatives

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia (CSBMG) is excited to highlight its recent strides through the 2024 RCORP (Rural Communities Opioid Response Program) initiatives. These efforts showcase our commitment to improving community health through collaboration, training, and system development. In January 2024, CSBMG signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Georgia Primary Care Association. This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver integrated care by facilitating collaboration and providing cross-training opportunities for staff.
As part of the RCORP grant, CSBMG team members participated in Trauma-Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid training. These programs empower our staff to provide compassionate and effective support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Additionally, to streamline care coordination, we developed workflows and secure, HIPAA-compliant referral systems in partnership with East Georgia Healthcare. These systems ensure that patient privacy is protected while improving access to vital services.
Through these initiatives, CSBMG remains steadfast in its mission to create healthier communities by addressing critical health needs with innovative solutions. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for care in Middle Georgia.
