Financial Friday

This is a bit tongue in cheek but it’s true!   We feel that there is a need to buy gifts for everyone we know while in reality – many of those on that list may not be expecting anything and actually may not be the happiest to receive a gift because they then feel obligated to return the thought.

Outside of our family we have friends, teachers, church friends, secret Santa, work friends and the list keeps going.   Christmas can become such a stressful time with thinking of everyone you want to give a gift to and it should truly be a time of togetherness.    What if we simply enjoyed the season and didn’t try to wrap it all up with a big bow?

You can do many things for others that are not costly so look for the things someone would truly need and enjoy.   Babysit for a friend who may not get out much, take someone a casserole for those busy days during the season, invite someone over for a meal.

Enjoy the upcoming season instead of stressing over it.
