Monday Motivation
Even the Grinch’s heart grew three sizes during Christmas in Whoville. The Christmas season does sometimes tend to make people more apt to be kinder to others but it may also be a time that is sad for others so we must be mindful of how this may impact them. Those who may be struggling to make ends meet or dealing with a loss view this time with a different lens that others. Showing extra kindness and consideration for each other during this time of year is important.
Being inclusive but not pushy is one way. We can certainly invite others to join us in celebrations but if they decline be respectful and don’t push them to attend events they may not enjoy.
Check on those who may need some extra care through the holidays. Elderly who may live alone might enjoy the company. It is always good to check in as that does show you care without being intrusive.
Above all else – just be kind and treat each other with respect always, not only during the holidays.
