Everything in moderation is my motto!   The holidays bring many more unhealthy options that other times of the year, so we do have to be on our guard to ensure we do not go overboard with bad choices.   It is also a time of year that is colder so we may not be getting as much movement into our days as we do during the warmer months.

 

A few things we can do to keep us from overindulging in the holiday treats are:

 

*Stay hydrated – sometimes we are thirsty and not hungry.

*When faced with a table full of foods, go for soups or fresh veggies and fruits first so that you don’t fill up on the unhealthier options.

*Add movement into your day where and when you can.

*Be sure you are getting quality sleep.
