The latest data from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing reveals that Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) are significantly improving access to care nationwide. In the past year alone, CCBHCs have served an estimated 3 million people across 40% of U.S. counties, breaking down barriers to lifesaving substance use treatment, crisis services, integrated care, and more for clients in both urban and rural settings (National Council for Mental Wellbeing, 2024).

So many times we hear people say that they have to get ready for summer so they can look good on the beach (or at least fit into their swimsuits)😊 The goal is to be fit for life! The earlier you begin living a healthy lifestyle the better your healthspan will be as you age.

A consistent theme this year in the health and human service field— and at Community Service Board of Middle Georgia (CSBMG)—is the focus on consumers with co-occurring behavioral health needs coupled with chronic conditions and social support needs. This focus is driven by compelling health care cost data, which reveals that a mere 10% of consumers are responsible for 70% of health system resources (National Institute of Health, 2023).

The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) has been making significant strides in addressing the behavioral health, substance use, and reentry needs of justice-involved youth.

One of the first things you need to be successful is belief in yourself. If you don’t believe in your capabilities or desire to be successful then who else will?
