So many times we hear people say that they have to get ready for summer so they can look good on the beach (or at least fit into their swimsuits)๐Ÿ˜ŠThe goal is to be fit for life! The earlier you begin living a healthy lifestyle the better your healthspan will be as you age.

Healthspan is NOT lifespan. Lifespan is how LONG you live and Healthspan is the length of time that you are HEALTHY โ€“ not just alive. There are people who become old at a young age and there are people who are young at a very advanced age. I read an article this week about a woman who (at 103) is the oldest person on record to participate in a sanctioned sporting event โ€“ she ran the 100 yard dash (and won gold) in the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM this week. She also ran the 50 meter dash in the same event. Her name is Julia โ€œHurricaneโ€ Hawkins and she is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Look her up.
