Building Skills and Supporting Well-Being: Looking Ahead to 2026
Community Service Board of Middle Georgia (CSBMG)
Professional development and well-being remain foundational to effective behavioral health and IDD services. National Center START Services recently announced Spring 2026 offerings for its IDD-Mental Health Professional Development Series, designed to strengthen the competence and confidence of professionals across multiple disciplines, including direct support, care coordination, crisis response, and therapy (NCSS, 2025).
In addition to workforce training, NCSS continues to promote holistic well-being through free community webinars. An upcoming session focused on stress management and laughter highlights the importance of resilience, connection, and self-care for both professionals and individuals receiving services (Institute on Disability, 2025).
At CSBMG, investment in training and wellness aligns with the agency’s commitment to quality care and sustainable services. Supporting the workforce and fostering community well-being are essential steps toward stronger systems and healthier outcomes as Middle Georgia moves into 2026.
