Cultivating Resilience in Rural Communities
Agriculture is the backbone of many rural economies, but it can also be a source of stress for those working in the field. Challenges like unpredictable weather, financial pressures, and physical demands can take a toll on mental health. UGA’s Cultivate platform highlights the importance of supporting farmers through education and innovation (University of Georgia, 2024).
CSBMG encourages farmers and farm family members to seek mental health resources when needed and participate in local support networks. Together, we can build resilience in agricultural communities by addressing mental health challenges and fostering a culture of care.
