Documentary Premiere Screening Invitation and Kudos to One of our Own

Good afternoon, everyone:

Please share the save-the-date announcement below for an upcoming documentary screening.  Titled “From Stigma to Strength, Georgia and the Certified Peer Specialist Movement”, the documentary memorializes work that began in the late 1980s and early 1990s bringing us full circle to where we are today.  For those who may not be aware, the peer specialist movement started in Georgia, and our state continues to lead the way in celebrating and valuing the importance of what those with lived experience can bring to the behavioral health treatment perspective.  No doubt, recovery is enhanced through peer support in ways that only someone who has walked a similar or same path can.

Embedded in the announcement is a short three-minute trailer for the documentary.  CSB of Middle Georgia is proud to share that our very own Claire Bonnell is featured in the trailer and in the documentary itself.  Sending a great big shout out to Claire today and much love and appreciation for all that she does to help others on their journey to recovery!
