October Is ADHD Awareness Month: The Many Faces of ADHD

Community Service Board of Middle Georgia
October 21, 2025

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Awareness Month is an opportunity to elevate understanding, reduce stigma, and promote access to care. This year’s theme—The Many Faces of ADHD—underscores that ADHD presents differently across ages, genders, cultures, and co-occurring conditions (Institute on Disability, 2025). At CSBMG, we recognize that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) may experience unique ADHD profiles, and effective support requires a strengths-based, person-centered approach that spans home, school, work, and community settings. Evidence-informed care plans that integrate behavioral strategies, caregiver coaching, and coordinated supports can improve daily functioning and quality of life (ADA National Network, n.d.). If you or a loved one has questions about ADHD, our team can help connect you with evaluation and treatment resources with our agency and throughout our service area.
