🌟 Big News for CSB of Middle Georgia! 🌟

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia completed a rigorous assessment by NADD surveyors/examiners this week to determine our accreditation status β€”1, 2, or 3 years. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our CSBMG NADD Accreditation Team β€” Stephen Smith, Rikita Rozier, and Dan Barnard from IDD β€” along with Senior BH and Outpatient Program Managers Tina Clements, Renee Moore, Marnie Braswell, and Jenifer Shepard and their incredible staff members, respectively, CSBMG has been awarded a 3-year NADD accreditation for 10 of our programs! πŸŽ‰

The surveyors were highly complimentary of our agency, recognizing the outstanding commitment to excellence in service and the genuineness our staff bring to their daily work. It was obvious throughout the three-day visit that our team has a passion for the work they do each day, and that they bring authentic concern and compassion to interactions with those served. Other major strengths noted were the resourcefulness, resiliency, and service to others by β€œfinding a way” that is exhibited by staff across the board. They were more than pleasantly surprised by the tremendous community involvement and connection our staff have with partners and colleagues across the entire catchment area, which they often find missing at other agencies. They also mentioned that our trauma-informed approach to care was evident in not only the trainings provided, but in the interactions they witnessed throughout their visit across programs they visited.
In their concluding summation, the surveyors stated that compared to other survey results, ours are, hands-down, unsurpassed by any survey they have conducted throughout the state. The NADD endorsement is a respected addition to our agency’s credentials and an accreditation that DBHDD requires us to have as we move through CCBHC certification. More importantly, how the surveyors described staff interactions with those served and with each other, the work we do, and the manner in which it is carried out on a daily basis, is worth far more than ticking a box on the completion of this review. Their observations reiterates the true measure of the dedication of our agency and the quality of care provided.

A more detailed update will be shared when the final report is received. Today, it is important we share a synopsis of the results and to thank everyone involved for the contributions you made to get us through our newest accreditation. It is a pleasure to communicate these initial findings mentioned during the Exit Conference held this afternoon.

Congratulations, again, on being a part of our first NADD accreditation as we continue making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
