Honoring Black History Month: Celebrating Strength, Resilience, and Legacy

February marks Black History Month, a time to reflect on the incredible contributions, achievements, and resilience of African American individuals throughout history. At Community Service Board of Middle Georgia, we recognize and celebrate the profound impact of Black leaders, advocates, and trailblazers across many fields, and especially in healthcare and mental health concentration areas.
From Harriet Tubman’s unwavering courage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s fight for equality and Bebe Moore Campbell’s advocacy for mental health awareness in Black communities, history is filled with stories of perseverance and empowerment. Their legacies continue to inspire change, to break barriers, and to create opportunities for future generations.
This month, CSBMG remembers inspiring individuals who have come before us. We believe in the importance of encouragement as we collectively work toward a future where opportunities are limitless, and where mental wellness and recovery are available for all.
