Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Partners with CSB of Middle Georgia to Create New Positive Changes

In a recent show of proactive leadership, Sheriff Wayne Wiley of Pulaski County Jail has partnered with the Community Service Board of Middle Georgia to launch a new support initiative aimed at improving the lives of incarcerated individuals. Announced on April 25, 2025, the program brings CSBMG staff into the jail weekly to provide behavioral health and peer support services, focusing on addiction recovery, parenting skills, and reintegration tools. The article highlights that six CSBMG members, several of whom are in long-term recovery themselves, now meet with inmates every Friday at 9:30 a.m. to deliver counseling and lived-experience education. This collaborative effort has already made a noticeable impact, offering hope and pathways to rehabilitation for the jail’s population of 42 inmates (Southerland, 2025).
