The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline has been operational for two years, and states across the country are taking innovative steps to expand and enhance crisis services tailored to their unique needs.

The introduction of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline on July 16, 2022, marked a significant milestone in the United States' approach to mental health crisis intervention.

The September 2024 issue of Georgia Magazine features an inspiring story about U.S. Army veteran George Eshleman, known as "The Keeper," who embarked on a remarkable journey to raise awareness about the mental health struggles of veterans, particularly focusing on suicide prevention.

It may still be pretty warm, but can you feel the beginnings of fall in the air?
